So, I've finally caught up on Torchwood. And seeing as there is no one here to talk about it with, I figured I'd bring it to Gwen's journal! Also included, some speculation on what canon changes will be made to her RP here.

First and foremost, Torchwood needs to stop making me cry.

What an exhausting week for our pups, fellow players! Honestly, I don't know what to make of all of it quite yet. It was probably one of the most soul-shattered things I've ever seen on television, even if Gwen was lucky enough to make it through AND not lose the baby (believe me, I was pretty much expecting it from the moment we found out.).

Don't know what the heck they're thinking, killing off Ianto. And the ending? If there is a series 4, it's going to be interesting to see how/if they bring Gwen and Jack back together.

I'm sort of (again) stuck between a rock and a hard place canon-updating Gwen. Even with canon!pregnancy, I'm always feeling awkward writing babyfic. That, and who knows what it is? What they'll name him/her? If we'll ever even see Gwen and Rhys and baby again?

That, and it certainly isn't going to help me pull Gwen from this emo place she's been since Owen and Tosh died. If anything, things have got slightly worse for her, happy baby times or no, so it's kind of up in the air right now as to what I'll be doing about canon updating her journal.

In short, found the series to be horrifying, emotionally draining, slightly predictable in places, but all in all pretty darn good and riveting. And Lois Habiba for Team Torchwood, anyone? Gwen wants her on board, you can count on that.

What did you guys think, in terms of the episodes and how the events will effect your pups?

Expect spoilers in comments.

(XD Easily done. I'd... probably do exactly the same if I had a character with kids.)

:-D It doesn't help that I'm a ginourmous, forgetful ditz to boot. Frankly, I'm amazing I can remember the poor kid's name half the time.

I mean, Alex can't even remember her name.

At least if you do slip up and call her Milly you can say it was an IC mistake?

Well, if Alex can't, I don't think there's any hope for the rest of us.

It's true. Milly is totally canon!

Alex has cursed us all to failure.

I actually think Milly's a nicer name than Molly. She should have been Milly to start with.

Damn you, Alex!

I'm partial to Molly, but only that's because it's my cousin's name and shes adorable. XD Milly is cute, but it always... reminds me of mice, for some reason.

Milly reminds me of kittens... which probably means it's not a great kids name. I just think it's an adorable name.

I dunno, at least kittens are fluffy and adorable like, erm, kids? Well I guess kids aren't fluffy. Usually. Unless they are werewolves or something.

Oddly, the more we talk about it, the cuter I think Milly is. Hmmm...

I need an icon with Duke for kitten convos, clearly.

Mice are fluffy and adorable too! Like smaller, less intelligent rats. Although werekids would be far too cute, even if they were potentially killers or whatever.

Maybe it's one of those names that grows on you?

Clearly. Why don't you have a Duke icon?

I quite prefer rats over mice. Though chinchillas are the fluffliest and most adorable. I am bias, though. And, I think both Alex and Gwen are content having just normal human kids. Er, especially Gwen.

It definitely grows on you. ...Like a fungus?

Because I am lazy. I seriously plan on making one though.

I like rats over chinchillas and mice. Although I am biased. Plus at least rats don't slip their fur all over you like some fluffy creatures I could mention. Not that I've ever had that happen, but still.

What, no nostrovite baby for Gwen?

...An adorable fungus?

You should. Duke is adorable. ♥

I actually prefer rats over chinchillas, pet wise, but that may have to do with me not socialising my chinchilla properly. He quite likes me when he's in his cage, he just hates being picked up. That and he does that freaking shedding fur thing.

Gwen does not approve of unwanted alien egg sacks. B|

A totally adorable fungus!

I love my castmates love for Duke. I need to write a fic with him too!

I've never met a chinchilla who has been properly socialised, although granted most of the ones I know are from animal units at college and so don't get handled as much as they should. I think rats are probably easier to socialise, though. I've never had chinchillas, but I didn't even have to try to socialise my rats.

Well, humans are slightly cuter than the unwanted aliens. Usually.

Yes! Why have I written fic for Duke and you haven't?

That actually makes me feel better. I never had to socialise my rat... I only had one, but it was the most friendly fun pet I've had. And everyone I know who has them generally thinks they are awesome. Bo is a lot of fun sometimes, but generally he just sits in his cage and glowers at me.

Especially nostrovites. They seem like they would be super ugly in their razor-tooth baby form.

Because I suck incredibly. But I plan to change this!
