Canon and Canon-Related 'Verses

In the general use of this journal, Gwen is canon up to the third series, "Children of Earth."

Canon Verse is used for general play and prompts in her personal journal, based on events mentioned in canon (even if the events are enhanced for the sake of the fic or RP). Many entries will apply to both the canon and open 'verses.

In-journal roleplay is also subject to comments, wherein other verses may apply.

Open 'verses are created for situations not exclusive to any specific community, or are based on events that are canon in nature but not specifically alluded to within the canon of the show. Most entries will apply to both canon and open 'verses. For events purely non-canon in nature, see @verse: crack.

Crack 'verse is used on this journal for moments of the mun's craziness, involving situations that may be somewhat OOC, really bizarre posts and RPs, and anything meta. It's not dependent on any canon, reality... really anything.

* Dark!Gwen: There should be some mention of Dark!Gwen, since she makes an appearance here and there and probably will in the future, and due to her nature will always be filed under the Crack 'Verse. She will generally run along the lines of canon, but will often embrace certain parts of her psyche that will not be explored in specific communities or open canon purposes.


Community Based 'Verses

In CH, Gwen is canon up to the Doctor Who finale, "Journey's End," whereupon Gwen received her ticket and went to the castle.

Gwen has met up with Jack, the Doctor, and various others in the Who-verse. She's also currently befriended Fox Mulder, Dana Scully, and Spencer Reid during an eventful visit to the Near Future.

She is developing a playful and flirty relationship with one Tony Stark.

In RTS, Gwen is canon up to the Doctor Who finale, "Journey's End," whereupon the canon splits to the RTS adventure.

Currently, she is attending the Christmas party held by Reinette and Ten. archaic_way and her are chatting about boys, and keyofmgy and her are exploring the TARDIS.

Outside of London, she has formed journal bonds with multiple players, and knows many of them by name and journal only.

Specific Character 'Verses

Alt!Torchwood with Anna Walsh

This is an alternate universe whereupon Anna Walsh, an archeologist, was recruited to Torchwood by Jack. At this point, Owen and Tosh are still alive, and 'verse is locked somewhere around "They Keep Killing Suzie."

Jenny in Cardiff

This 'verse is canon through "Journey's End", whereupon jen_anomaly has appeared through the Rift and crash landed in Cardiff. Gwen and her know each other through their journals, and are currently forging an in-person friendship whilst they decide what to do about Jenny's crashed ship.


John and Gwen

This is a minor 'verse but notable. This 'verse is canon through "Journey's End", whereupon goodathart and Gwen have formed an unstable peace between them. They enjoy ragging at each other through their journals and mobile phones, and Gwen is partially dedicated to seeing if she can "reform" John.

Rhys Joins Torchwood

This 'verse is canon through "Meat," whereupon rhystherant is accepted as a member of the Torchwood team and begins working with them.

Gwen, naturally, is very unhappy about the situation.


Gwen and Other Muses

This is a sub-verse used for any relationships with muses outside of the prompt or role play community where Gwen makes contact with a muse she would not likely meet in canon.

Jack Phillips

Relative Time and Space introduced Gwen to Jack Phillips, an ex-companion of the Doctor and a man from the past. They've hit off a steady friendship, and Gwen totally fancies him. Muahahahaha.

The Other Doctor

Fandom Muses sprung a close friendship Gwen now has with handysparehand. In result, she is quietly using her spare time at Torchwood to think of ways to bridge universes in order to meet him.


10.5 Joins Torchwood

This verse is canon to the end of "Journey's End", whereupon it splits and handysparehand is left in London with Jack and Co. instead of being taken to the alternate universe with Rose. He joins Torchwood 3, where he may or may not enter into a timid and guilt-ridden courtship with Gwen. (This 'verse is in the planning stages and yet to be played.)

All of these games are in-progress, and subject to change in canon as well as in the game depending on story lines. Gwen's canon status will stay frozen until the end of Series 3, and is not subject to change until that time. At that time, the mun will decide how her canon status affects various 'verses and communities, or if she will continue on an AU path.

Definitely! &hearts I think I want to get Gwen thinking about that in some FM prompts, since it must be done!

Speaking of which, how would you feel about doing a phone call/E-mail RP with them kicked around ideas for ripping up the universe? I've missed RPing with you! And then we might come up with a way to actually do it and get the poor kids to meet.

I get some sick satisfaction out of making John's ego explode. And forcing Gwen to interact with him on a regular basis to the point it's kind of it's own 'verse totally adds to that! What can I say? He brings out a highly amusing side of Gwen.
