Would you ever date someone outside of your own race?
This question has taken on new meaning for me. Human, yes. Time Lord, yes. Weevil, no.

When was the last time you told someone that you loved them?
This morning. It was Rhys, of course.

What genre of music would be torture for you to listen to for an hour?
Any amount of pop music, although someone was playing ABBA at work the other day and it wasn't that bad. I won't name names. You know who you are.

Do you still watch movies intended for children?
Not as often as I'd like, actually. All my time is spent watching reality television with Rhys. And sci-fi movies. He's got this thing about aliens, which, frankly, has lost its appeal.

What is your favorite movie trilogy?
Pirates of the Carribean. They are fun, aren't they? And Johnny Depp is fit. I won't deny it.

Were you anyone's first kiss?
One of my boyfriends in primary school. Though I don't know if you can count them as a boyfriend at that age!

How long after you shower do you walk around naked (or in your towel), until you decide to get dressed?
I'm in a towel about as long as it takes to get dressed. Always have to be ready.

Do you have a live CD?
No, never much cared for live versions of anything. But Rhys might have one, and since we are married I guess it's technically mine. But I haven't a clue what it is.

Any CDs you bought from Starbucks?
Yes, Rhys got me one of those Christmases mixes they make a few years back. I think it's still in the shrink wrap.

Do you own any Buddha?
I have a soft one that is squeezable. I think I nicked it from Andy.

What size bed do you have?
A queen, a believe? It was the biggest one Ikea had on sale, anyway.

How did you learn about death?
My cat, Daisy. But I didn't really understand until my Gran passed.

Do you think your parents expect too much from you?
They seem to expect what I can't be. I can't tell them what I've seen, what I've accomplished. They don't understand why I married Rhys. I think if they knew what I did, what my work was like and how hard I have fought for my life with Rhys, they might not expect so much more than I can offer.

Describe the last outfit you wore when you last kissed someone:
Oi, I wasn't wearing anything, actually!

Describe the last outfit that person wore when you last kissed them:
See above.

What is the worst way you've broken up with someone?
Oh, I broke up with Trevor Kendall over the phone. That was pretty rubbish.

Have you ever been in a situation where you really had to choose between a best friend and a significant other? If so, who did you choose?
I spent a long time fighting that. I didn't think I had to choose. And for a long time, I almost chose my best friend. But in the end, I think I chose Rhys.

What's the last thing you told someone that made them shake their head?
I asked Ianto if I could use his french press. It wasn't so much shaking his head as flailing like a nutter. But after the last time, I don't exactly blame him for saying no.

Which of your parents did you talk to last?
Dad. Mum's been avoiding my calls a bit since the wedding.

Considering there's only three of us at work, I think you've pretty much given away which of us listens to ABBA even without naming names.

And I wasn't flailing like a nutter. Although after last time it really wouldn't be that surprising if I was.

No I didn't! You could have blamed it on Jack. Well, now I guess I've gone and given it away.

Again, really sorry about that. But I've never seen anything quite explode in that way, you have to admit it was a bit impressive.

ABBA's a little too modern by his standards. I'm pretty sure most people would've assumed it was me originally.

I'm not sure impressive is quite the word I'd use... expensive, maybe.

Well not everyone knows Jack like we do. Which isn't saying much. But he could be a closet ABBA fan.

I told you I'd replace the bloody thing.

He could be, but you wouldn't have thought just by looking at him.

You don't have to, I've managed to work it into the budget. I don't think I'll be able to if you break it again though.

You're right, he just doesn't seem the type.

Jack gives you a budget for coffee makers? Fair enough, but I do wish he would budget in my shoes. I've had to bin three new pairs just this week.

I used the budget for damaged equipment, although I probably should consider talking to him about a budget for coffee makers. You know how he gets when he hasn't had any caffeine for a while.

He's gets to be a bit of a terror, doesn't he? Although I don't think any of us would be happy without caffeine, especially during those 2am briefings.

We've been having too many of those, lately. I don't see why the end of the world couldn't just be at a reasonable hour, for once.

Tell me about it. Seems like my mobile's gone off every night the last week or so just before I pop into bed. You don't think we could petition for potential alien invasions to be postponed til work hours, do you?

We could try. Not sure how many species would agree to it, though. We might have better luck if we just start sleeping during normal work hours, and just coming in at night.

But then with our luck weevils will decide they like the sunny Cardiff afternoons better. Maybe we should just renovate one of the levels into flats and move in? It's not like we have time for much else anyway.

Oh, I don't know. I think we'd be alright if they decided they only liked the sunny afternoons.

Although moving in might be a good idea. It would save on fuel, at any rate.

Yes, except for the fact that there are so many more people to eat on sunny afternoons. I don't know about you, but I hate the idea of retconning that situation. Wasn't my wedding punishment enough for you?

I don't think Rhys would quite like that idea at all. It would either be me moving out or him moving in with the lot of us, and I can only imagine the ways that would end up.

Actually, I've changed my mind. I'd rather they be out at nights, and staying away from the nightlife while they're at it.

If we did we'd probably have to start having rotas for the showers, or something. And start paying a bit more mind to what we're doing and where.

Now I'm imagining weevils coursing down high street at 1am on a Saturday. Talk about nightmares.

It would be great if you minded that kind of thing now. Or were at least at bit more diligent about erasing the CCTV footage.

Oh, God. Worst part is that it's not even outside the realm of possibility.

I do erase the CCTV footage! I'll admit Jack occasionally distracts me before I've managed to finish, but I'm pretty sure I get all of it in the end.

Just the thought is going to be keeping me up for weeks. Sometimes I hate this job.

You miss it about once a month. Not that I'm complaining, I need a bit of a laugh now and again!

Me too. I'm not even sure why I still do it half the time.

Oh God, I don't miss it that often, do I? At least tell me you turn it off as soon as you realise what it is.

I wonder too. The pay is shit, the hours are shit, and the benefits aren't great considering. But, we get to save the world and our boss is pretty fit, so it has it's ups, yeah?

I will tell you I turn it off immediately, Ianto, since that is what you want to hear.

Careful you don't let Jack here you say that. Frankly, I think he's already convinced he's a benefit of the job. He really doesn't need anything he might interpret as confirmation of that.

...how much, and how often do you watch? Really, I mean. Not just what I want to hear.

I think we probably need a few of our own anyway, just to keep up with all Jack's.

Well, that isn't too bad I suppose... Nothing you haven't seen before, anyway. Sorry if I came off a bit badly then. It's there are some things I'd just rather you didn't see.

So, then, he hasn't told you anything either about his past? I mean, I figured, you know, considering... He might have told you a bit more.

I'm sorry, I couldn't help but put you on a bit. Believe me, as flattered as I was by Jack's invitation to join naked hide-and-go-seek, I'm quite happy giving you two your privacy.

Well, little bits here and there when the mood strikes him. Usually some sort of outlandish tale, or infuriatingly cryptic comment. Nothing more than he ever tells anyone else, though.

Don't worry about it. It'd my own fault for not being completely diligent in deleting the footage, even if you had seen more than that. I'll be more careful about it in future.

Should have known. He takes this tall, dark and handsome thing a bit far, don't you think?

Fair enough. And I promise I won't tease you about it, and I won't watch as soon as I've figured out it's just snogging and not alien invasion!

I rather like the tall, dark, and handsome thing, to be honest. I just wish it didn't have to come with quite so much enigma. It's a bit stereotypical, if you ask me. Not to mention how hard it is to get to know him properly.

If you were confusing me and Jack snogging with an alien invasion, I think I'd be a little concerned.

Oh, you best not tell him that either! I wonder if he continues being so enigmatic just because he knows it drives us crazy.

You never know around here, though. I mean, think about it, how many people have we snogged that almost led to alien invasion?

(no subject)

Wasn't planning to. And that does seem likely.

Fair point, but I have my doubts we've been the cause of almost invasion. At least not directly.

It must be a Time Agent thing. They all seem to enjoy it a bit.

I suppose it is more of a side-effect than a cause. Though, that first day I was here was most certainly my fault.

Or maybe it's just Jack and John. Although I hope we don't have to find out for sure. I don't really want to meet any more Time Agents.

Well, we've all done that. You aren't really a part of the team until you've almost caused an invasion.
