IFQ for Gwen Cooper

It's an IFQ because most people don't usually ask me these questions. But I like to pretend they did!
General Info
Who is this Gwen person?
Gwen Cooper is one of the leading characters on the British TV show Torchwood, a spin off of the popular TV show Doctor Who. It just completed it's 3rd series, and has supposedly been renewed for a 4th.
Who is the girl in the icons?
On the show and the PB here, she is played by the deliciously talented Eve Myles. An amazing site for Eve is EveMyles.Net
Where can I find more about the show?
The official site if you're in the UK. Outside the UK, check out the BBC America site or the Torchwood Wiki Page.

Where is Gwen played?

crowdedhour, milliways, relativespace, and sixwordstories. I also play her in the following prompt comms: theatrical_muse, fandom_muses, muses_gonewild, justprompts, and relativeprompts.
Do you have 'verses for Gwen?
The easy answer for this is yes. There are specific 'verses that apply to comms, and specific verses that apply to characters, all tagged in my nifty confusingly complicated tagging system. Also, a rundown of her 'verses can be found here. If your pup is of non-DW/TW fandom, you will generally be conversing with the canon/open-verse Gwen, unless otherwise specified.
How do you play Gwen?
I have a very complicated answer to this. Your best bet will be to read Five Things I Keep in Mind When I Play Gwen, and then jump in and RP with her!
What is canon?
The mun considers all episodes of Doctor Who universe, as well as Torchwood radio shows and novels as canon.
Can my pup play with Gwen?
YES! Gwen can be reached on her journal OOC or IC at any time. Her AIM account is now mrs williams if your pup is up for a chat.
If you would like to plot out something specific with the mun in a PM, by e-mail, or at ShirelingX on AIM.
I will gladly RP with anyone, any fandom.

I try to be as prompt with tags as I can, but things sometimes get away from me, and sometimes my LJ alerts get lost in the shuffle. If we are tagging and I haven't tagged back in 24 hours, please do not hesitate to poke me, either here or in a PM or even on AIM. I really do not want to leave you hanging, I promise!
Can my character snog/shag/make babies/elope with Gwen?
If your pup is DW/TW, check this post for details. Gwen is married, but she has been known to have affairs with people she trusts implicitly.And she really fancies guys named Jack. Unless your character falls into that category (and you will know if he or she does!) the answer is probably no.
What is with Crack!Gwen? She's totally OOC!
The mun sees Crack!Gwen less as OOC and more as the Gwen no one talks about. She's generally an AU Gwen, usually having gone the path of Suzie or just gone a bit nuts, or in lesser circumstances a Gwen that's a fun crazy or meta. She's a dark side of Gwen explored and fic and not (yet) used for RP purpose.
Why is Gwen so freaking depressed all the time?
Unfortunately, series 3 didn't do much to help Gwen's emotional status. However, it did supply some good character and future development for her, and I'll be working through RP and prompts to help bring Gwen out of the dark place she's been the last few years.
Why does Gwen still go by her maiden name?
You got me. The answer is, it's canon. If you want to know the reasoning behind it, you might want to ask Russell T. Davies or Eve Myles.
Friending Policy
You already have a Jack/Ianto/Owen/etc. friended. Can my Jack/Ianto/Owen/etc. friend you?
YES! I play with multiple and equally amazing RPers of the same character, and I love playing with new ones.
My character is not of DW/TW fandom. Can I friend you?
YES! I can't promise I'll know your fandom, but I will friend any muse that friends Gwen, and interact as much as I can!
Can I friend you with my personal journal and not a character journal?
YES! I probably will not friend you back, but none of Gwen's journal entries are locked, so you can read any of them and respond to OOC posts or fic posts to your heart's content. If your interested in being proper friends, check out my personal LJ.
Why did you friend me?
Either we interacted at one point and I found future RP with you interesting, or I absolutely adore your muse and I would like to play with you. If you'd rather I not have you friended, please send me a PM or just don't friend me back, and eventually I will take the hint and unfriend you. :-)
